Parking
The parking available around the Museum is managed by the City
of Sacramento. On-street parking meters surround the Museum
and require $.25 per 20 minutes. Two parking lots are available
on Second Street and cost $3 per two hours. Parking for visitors
with disabilities can be found in the parking lots and at
meters located on Second Street.
Public Transportation
Sacramento Regional Transit stops within walking distance of
the Crocker Art Museum at the corner of Third and N Streets.
Regional Transit recommended bus routes include: 3, 7, 38,
52, 65 and the Dash Trolley. The nearest Light Rail stop
is at 8th and O Streets. The Amtrak depot is at Third and
I Streets.
From the West - San Francisco, Davis, etc.
• From I-80 continue on Business 80/Route 50 and take the
Downtown/Jefferson Blvd. exit (stay in left lane to Downtown)
• Continue across the Tower Bridge into Sacramento
• Turn right immediately after the Bridge on to 3rd Street.
Follow 3rd Street to O Street. Turn right on O Street
From the East - Auburn, Reno,
Roseville, Carmichael, etc.
• Take I-80 towards San Francisco
• Follow the exit to I-5 after passing Truxel Blvd.
• Take the J Street exit and turn right off the ramp on
to 3rd Street
• Turn right onto O Street
From the East - Placerville, etc.
• Take Highway 50 toward San Francisco
• Turn off at the 10th Street exit in Sacramento
• Turn left on to P Street
• Take P Street to 2nd Street and turn right (you’ll
see the Museum on your right before turning on to 2nd Street
From the South via 99 - Elk Grove,
Fresno, etc.
• Take 99 to San Francisco turnoff (Route 50)
• Take 50 to 10th Street exit
• Turn left on to P Street
• Take P Street to 2nd Street and turn right (you’ll
see the Museum on your right before turning on to 2nd Street)
From the South via I-5 – Lodi,
Stockton, Modesto, etc.
• Take the J Street exit and turn right off the ramp on
to 3rd Street
• Turn right onto O Street
